European Space Agency-"Fly Your Thesis" Campaign In :
DZH Dynamics has been selected for the European Space Agency The Fly Your Thesis! ( ESA-FYT) programme. The parabolic flight campaign takes place on the Airbus A310 Zero-G, which is operated by Novespace from Bordeaux, France. Each campaign consists of a series of three flights of 31 parabolas, which individually provide about 22 seconds of microgravity. Each campaign is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the students to propose, design, build, test and fly their scientific experiment or technology research in microgravity conditions. The experiments can be related to the fluid physics, chemistry ,biology, material science, astrophysics, etc.
DZH ZG ESA V2 Prototype
DZH ZG ESA V2 prototype contains an inertia morphing (IM)
strategy of two moving masses, acting
symmetrically in the structure, and a 3-axis
attitude control system using Reaction
Wheels (RWs).
DZH ZG ESA V2 Prototype triggers the DZH effect with a period of less than 4 seconds to be within the constraints of the parabolic flight of ESA-FYT using RWs for faster manoeuvres and less energy consumption.

DZH Dynamics has also been selected for the interuniversity challenge NanoStar. There, teams from different universities develop a space mission where innovative ideas boost the performance of state-of-the-art space technologies. Using the Dzhanibekov effect in combination with Reaction Wheels, DZH Dynamics is working in the development of transformable spacecraft which can benefit from a faster and more energy efficient Attitude Control System (ADCS). In order to test this technology before going to space, DZH Dynamics is collaborating within the NanoStar framework with UC3M and UPM-IDR institute (Instituto Ignacio DaRiva). There, the proof of concept of 1CubeSat Unit Spacecraft using our latest technology is tested in their air bearing facilities, so as to validate the research and algorithms of the ADCS.
